When you make a pasta sauce, you can do more than just add it to pasta noodles.
These tasty bites are made with butternut squash pasta sauce. With a fresh whole wheat baguette, just top the slices with pasta sauce, add a slice of gouda cheese and parmesan and toast. 🙂

Homemade pasta sauce
1 whole wheat baguette
Herb Gouda cheese
( substitute any of the above for your favorites ~ the outcome should be just as tasty! )
Slice baguette and top with pasta sauce, cheese and parmesan. Bake for 5 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Broil for a few minutes until golden brown.
Serve as appetizers with a lovely bottle of you wine of choice. Garnish with parsley and spring lettuce mix.
