Ruth’s Partridgeberry…Blueberry Muffins

These are most definitely my favorite muffins!






2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
2 tsp grated orange peel
1 egg
3/4 cup orange juice
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup berries


Mix dry ingredients together
Mix wet ingredients and add together until blended. Fold the mixture and do not over mix.

Bake at 350 degreees for 20 minutes.

A fruit filled muffin which is light and soooooo delicious!

    Oh yum! I remember these muffins – they are fabulous. We don’t have partridgeberries out our way, but I’m sure they’ll be equally yummy with blueberries and raspberries.

      Heather…yeah Ruth makes great muffins….and the blueberries and raspberries work just as well!
